Do you remember 2005?
It was the year of USB flash drives, Bluetooth headsets, digital cameras – and the EUROStar. The first EUROIMMUN microscope was designed to simplify microscopy and eliminate the long waiting times required to fully warm up the mercury vapour lamps used in conventional microscopes. Thanks to its LED light source, the benchtop instrument was “explosion-proof” and did not require the ballast of an upstream transformer. This also saved the user the (warm-up) time and material costs of constant lamp changes. Of course, the instrument also allowed the connection of a digital camera via USB for direct digitalisation of microscopy images.
Almost 20 years later, after the successors EUROStar II (Plus) (released 2007) and EUROStar III Plus (released 2010), the EUROStar IV Plus is now available.
So what is new in the latest model of EUROIMMUN’s bestselling instrument series? And what does it have to do with back health? Watch our new video by Tobias Röske and Michael Buschtez to find out.
