As the board of directors and the supervisory board explained to the 250 present stockholders at the annual general meeting in July, 2013 was yet again a successful year for EUROIMMUN. The total turnover of the corporate EUROIMMUN group amounted to 148.3 million Euro, an increase of more than 20 million Euro compared to the previous annual sales.
The number of employees has also increased in 2013. 151 new colleagues were recruited to the German locations while 87 persons found new jobs in the forgein subsidiaries. Today, EUROIMMUN employs more than 1800 people worldwide.
“The dynamic expansion continues”, concluded the president of the supervisory board Michael von Schmude. This may be attributed particularly to the identification of new antigens and the development of new technologies for more efficient washing of microscope slides, said Prof. Dr. med Winfried Stöcker, founder of the company and CEO. “These will help us to capture the trade market”.
Chief financial officer, Axel Blankenburg, emphasised the positive development of the Chinese subsidiaries which generated 60.6 millionen Euro of the annual turnover. “China is our key market.”
And further good news can be reported from the current year 2014: EUROIMMUN ranked 10th of a TOP 100 ranking of medium-sized enterprises.
